Le Piscine beach with responsible access
“Le Piscine” beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Italy, is now suffering from heavy human pressure.
For this reason, the municipality of Arzachena has introduced a responsible access limit on an experimental basis.
When
You have to book on June 15 and 16 (test weekend) and from July 15 to August 31
Where
Beach Le Piscine Nord sunbathing and swimming, Le Piscine Sud swimming
Who
Both tourists and residents book.
Given the experimental nature of the initiative for summer 2024, responsible access is free for all.
Book today to preserve tomorrow
The introduction of responsible access to “Le Piscine” is a decision aimed at safeguarding the integrity of the beach to enable us to bequeath to future generations a beautiful natural environment as we found it.
Responsible Access, how it works
To responsibly access Le Piscine, and preserve the coastal ecosystem, online reservations are required.
Once on site, you can stand with your towel on the sandy shore at Le Piscine Nord beach, while at Le Piscine Sud swimming only is recommended.
The simple rules of guardianship
– An abandoned bottle, can, or bag kills wildlife and disfigures our land: sort waste by throwing it in the appropriate bins.
– A cigarette butt takes up to 12 years to dissolve in the environment, many poisonous substances will remain there forever: throw it in the pocket ashtray or the appropriate container.
– Pinna nobilis (or fan mussel) is an endangered mollusk: removing its prized shell from the seabed destroys the biodiversity of our seas. Don’t touch it.
– Flowers, shells, sand, stars and seahorses, hermit crabs, turtles, urchins belong to this beach: admire them, respect them, and let others do the same.
– Respect the peace and quiet of these places. Respect other bathers.
